About Me
I'm living proof that breaking free from societal norms, shedding limiting beliefs, and transforming old patterns into personal freedom is not only possible, it’s achievable for anyone.

From a young age, I struggled in traditional classroom settings where the one-size-fits-all approach to education left me feeling unseen and inadequate. Society's narrow focus of intelligence, valuing logical over all of the others, caused immense pain throughout the years which led to a disconnection from my body and crippling self doubt. Through movement and a in depth education about the multiple forms of intelligence, I discovered a pathway back home to my body, finding my body’s innate wisdom and was able to reclaim of who I am.

Decades later, I found myself confronting societal pressures once again facing the distorted narrative that branded leaving a marriage as an act of failure when in fact, my marriage was a success, it was just time to make a change. It was a pivotal moment where I had to choose between adhering to societal norms once again or honoring my truth. Turning inward for guidance, I found the courage to make the toughest decision of my life, opting to stay true to myself above all else.

Society has a tendency to define who we are, how we should feel and live. As Womxn, Friend, Entrepreneur Parent, I have broken free of societies expectations to live a life from the inside out AND help others do the same. In each role, I have made tough decisions that have gone against the norm and have found that the choices were always the right ones because they were in alignment with my soul. That is what I have learned how to do and my mission is to help you do the same.

The Power of Gesture™ Embodiment Method was born from my journey of self-discovery, offering a pathway to regulate the nervous system, tune into the wisdom of the body, and allow it to lead you in a life driven by truth and purpose.

Dance Education

I grew up attending the Montclair, NJ performing arts schools where I studied various movement styles. I went on to receive my Associates Degree from Dean Jr. College in 1991 and my BFA degree in 1993 from The Music and Performing Arts Professions at New York University with a dance major and education minor. Performing & Educating continue to be an active part of my life.

Sales, Mom, Photographer

8 years of sales management connected me to my drive and passion to lead and empower others. Helping people achieve personal and professional greatness brought me tremendous joy and put me 1 step closer to my purpose.

As a professional family and event photographer, I was able to witness hundreds of people interact with the world from behind the lens.  This work was much more than taking a photo, it was an opportunity to capture and celebrate the essence of humanity in an authentic & artful way.

Motherhood has been the greatest teacher and GIFT of all.  Throughout the years, I have been humbled by my children’s wisdom. I did not realize that when I brought them into this world that I would become the student and they would become 2 of the greatest teachers of my life.

Dancer & Teaching Artist

For the past 16 years, I have taught Arts Education to NYC public school children with National Dance Institute. From Harlem, to Chelsea, to the West Village, Tribeca, Chinatown, Brooklyn & Queens, I have taught the breadth of race, religion, age, and gender.  Engaging with these children to motivate them toward excellence has been a profound inspiration in my life.

In 2019 I wrote, directed and produced The Event of the Year titled “Voices of Change” for National Dance Institute. By showcasing examples of impactful change made through various forms of expression; (visual art, poetry, drumming, spoken word and movement) I empowered 6500 NYC children to know that their voices matter and however they choose to express it with the world is not only acceptable, it is essential. That philosophy translates to my current body of work.

Pandemic Shift & The herStories Collection

In response to the isolation and disconnection brought on by the 2020 pandemic, I felt a deep inner calling to create a healing modality through embodied storytelling. As Zoom became a gateway to global connection, I combined my expertise in embodiment coaching, storytelling, editing, and my love of music to curate 150 short-form video documentaries, now known as The herStories Collection. These videos are crafted from Zoom conversations, interwoven with additional footage and music, capturing stories of resilience, courage, and life lessons that deepen our compassion for humanity.

As these stories unfolded, I saw firsthand the transformative power of this approach. It wasn’t long before The Power of Gesture™ Method emerged from my soul—a method that bridges embodiment and storytelling to help people reconnect with their true selves.

Motivated by the belief in the life-changing potential of these stories, I launched EmpowerHER Stories, a virtual platform showcasing them to the public. This journey has been one of profound growth and education, reaffirming my commitment to guiding others toward living a purposeful life led by truth.

The Power of Gesture™

The Power of Gesture™ awakens the intuitive voice within each of us by transforming emotions into simple, expressive hand gestures, releasing stuck energy and providing the clarity needed to lead with confidence in every area of life. This practice forms the foundation of my coaching, workshops, and speaking engagements, helping you break free from societal norms and connect with your own innate intelligence.

The Power of Gesture™ has empowered hundreds of teenage dancers by guiding them to harness their emotional intelligence as a source of creativity and self-confidence. Through this movement methodology, they learn to create choreography inspired by their own emotions, deepening their self-awareness and enhancing their stage presence. This process not only elevates their performance but also transforms their sense of confidence, allowing them to express themselves more authentically.

By integrating research on multiple forms of intelligence with my unique embodiment methodology, The Power of Gesture™, I’ve created a pathway for people to access their inner brilliance, embrace their true selves, and lead lives of fulfillment and authenticity.

Sharing Gratitude

Creating The herStories Collection was a profound experience that allowed me to bear witness to the stories of 150 courageous Womxn from across the globe. Each of these Womxn opened their hearts and shared their powerful survival stories, which have become some of the most inspiring and educational resources of my life.

I now believe these Womxn were my guardian angels, guiding me to step forward and share my own story with the world. Their strength and resilience sparked something deep within me, igniting a fire to embrace vulnerability and speak my truth, no matter how daunting it felt. Their bravery encouraged me to dig deep, to be bold, and to show up more fully in my own life.

I am forever grateful for the way their stories have shaped my journey, reminding me that our greatest power lies in our willingness to be seen, to be heard, and to uplift one another through our shared experiences. They’ve taught me that storytelling is not just an act of expression but a profound bridge to healing and connection.
