About Me
I'm living proof that breaking free from societal norms, shedding limiting beliefs, and transforming old patterns into personal freedom is not only possible, it’s achievable for anyone.

From a young age, I struggled in traditional classroom settings where the one-size-fits-all approach to education left me feeling unseen and inadequate. Society's narrow definition of intelligence caused immense pain throughout the years which led to a disconnection from my body and inner truth. Through movement, I discovered a pathway back home to my body, finding healing and a reclaiming of who I am.

Decades later, I found myself confronting societal pressures once again facing the distorted narrative that branded leaving a successful marriage as an act of failure. It was a pivotal moment where I had to choose between adhering to societal norms or honoring my truth. Turning inward for guidance, I found the courage to make the toughest decision of my life, opting to stay true to myself above all else.

Society has a tendency to define who we are, how we should feel and live. As Womxn, Friend, Entrepreneur Parent & Wife, I have broken free of societies expectations to live a life from the inside out AND help others do the same. In each role, I have made tough decisions that have gone against the norm and have found that the choices were always the right ones because they were in alignment with my soul. That is what I have learned how to do and my mission is to help you do the same.

The Power of Gesture™ Embodiment Method was born from my journey of self-discovery, offering a pathway to regulate the nervous system, tune into the wisdom of the body, and allow it to lead you in a life driven by truth and purpose.

Dance Education

I grew up attending the Montclair, NJ performing arts schools where I studied various movement styles. I went on to receive my Associates Degree from Dean Jr. College in 1991 and my BFA degree in 1993 from The Music and Performing Arts Professions at New York University with a dance major and education minor. Performing & Educating continue to be an active part of my life.

Sales, Mom, Photographer

8 years of Sales Management connected me to my drive and passion to lead and empower others. Helping people achieve personal and professional greatness brought me tremendous joy and put me 1 step closer to my purpose.

As a professional family and event photographer, I was able to witness hundreds of people interact with the world from behind the lens.  This work was much more than taking a photo, it was an opportunity to capture and celebrate the essence of humanity in an authentic & artful way.

Motherhood has been the greatest teacher and GIFT of all.  Throughout the years, I have been humbled by my children’s wisdom. I did not realize that when I brought them into this world that I would become the student and they would become 2 of the greatest teachers of my life.

Dancer & Teaching Artist

For the past 16 years, I have taught Arts Education to NYC public school children with National Dance Institute. From Harlem, to Chelsea, to the West Village, Tribeca, Chinatown, Brooklyn & Queens, I have taught the breadth of race, religion, age, and gender.  Engaging with these children to motivate them toward excellence has been a profound inspiration in my life.

In 2019 I wrote, directed and produced The Event of the Year titled “Voices of Change” for National Dance Institute. By showcasing examples of impactful change made through various forms of expression; (visual art, poetry, drumming, spoken word and movement) I empowered 6500 NYC children to know that their voices matter and however they choose to express it with the world is not only acceptable, it is essential. That philosophy translates to my current body of work.

Pandemic Shift & The herStories Collection

In response to the 2020 Pandemic where we were experiencing high levels of isolation and disconnection, I followed an inner calling to offer a healing modality through embodied storytelling.

As Zoom became a means for unlimited connection, I was able to work with people from all over the world. I decided to blend of my skills of embodiment coaching, storytelling, editing and love of music, which led me to curating 150 short form video documentaries, that is called, The herStories Collection. These videos were edited with zoom footage conversations, additional clips that I layered with music. These stories represent resilience, courage and are filled with life lessons that deepen compassion for humanity.

As the stories unfolded, I witnessed the transformative power of the approach I was taking and before I knew it, The Power of Gesture™ Method was birthed from my soul.

Driven by the belief that these stories could change lives, I created EmpowerHER Stories, a virtual platform where these stories are featured for the public. This journey has been one of profound education and growth, reaffirming my commitment to guiding others towards living a purposeful life led by truth .

The Power of Gesture™

The Power of Gesture™ awakens the intuitive voice that lies within each one of us. We do that by translating our emotions into accessible hand gestures that transmute stuck energy into the clarity we need to lead confidently in all aspects of our life.

The Power of Gesture™ is at the core of my coaching and workshops which teaches you how to break free of societal norms so that you can live a life guided by your authentic truth.

The Power of Gesture™ has also reached hundreds of teenage dancers as a way to teach students how to easily connect with their emotions and feel empowered by them. We do that by allowing their emotional experiences to fuel choreography which enhances and strengthens their performance onstage.

As an Educator, Embodiment Coach and Speaker I am proud to say that The Power of Gesture™ is a transformative method that helps us get us closer to the truth of who we are, feel empowered by that and stand in strength and love.

Sharing Gratitude

Producing "The herStories Collection" gave me the privilege of bearing witness to 150 courageous Womxn. They graciously shared their survival stories with me which have become one of the most inspirational resources of my life.

I am convinced that these Womxn were my guardian angels, inspiring me to open up to share part of my own story with the world. Their courage lit a fire within me, encouraging me to dig deep, embrace vulnerability, and be brave.  I am forever grateful.
Here is one of my stories…… more to come soon.
